All ages, all abilities

MDP’s Artistic Director Miriam Colvin loves to teach, facilitate and collaborate.  Her focus is on movement and mixed media explorations. Much of her movement facilitation stems from contemporary dance and improvisation. Her personal passion for movement was integrally connected to her belief that everyone is capable of dancing in an articulate and meaningful way.

She an Infusion Teaching Artist. She worked within Lake Kathlyn School, Smithers for the Infusion: ArtStarts Arts in Education program. Infusion: Arts in Education is an intensive and sustained professional learning program for artists and teachers focused on arts integration in schools across BC.

Miriam is inspired by her recent work with Ewa Sniatycka and ArtMobile. Ewa is an expert in creating site-specific residency projects in schools and community settings. They have worked together on projects in Smithers and Lake Cowichan. Miriam would love to do more of this type of creative investigations.

Please contact us if you are interested in inviting Miriam to your community, organization or classroom.
